Congregational Host in Maria Parish

Do you enjoy working with people and are you also great at cooking, baking, and organizing coffee breaks? If so, we have the job for you.

About the Position

As a congregational host in Maria Parish, you are the face of the parish and often the first person visitors meet when they come to us. Therefore, we want you to be proactive, accommodating, and available to those who need your help. You will be responsible for everything related to the kitchen, including purchasing supplies. You will serve coffee and meals as needed in various activities, and we want you to bake and cook from scratch. The position also includes some maintenance of the parish homes, such as laundry. Evening and weekend work may occur.

Your Profile

As a person, you are skilled at planning, structuring, and taking responsibility for your tasks. The work is varied, and we want you to be innovative and enjoy developing your working methods. You are accustomed to using digital tools and thrive on collaborating and building relationships with both colleagues and visitors as well as volunteers. You have experience in food handling and serving. Education in the field is a plus.

We expect you to share the values of the Church of Sweden, and we see it as a positive if you have experience working in the Church of Sweden.

About Us

Maria Parish is one of three parishes in the Church of Sweden in Helsingborg. The parish has 38 employees, including four supervisors/coordinators, and a variety of activities. You will be part of our service team, which consists of eight employees. Meeting places for children, families, and youth are important, and confirmation work is significant. Music and choir singing are central to worship life, and the parish plays an important role in the music life of Helsingborg.
